Medium-term objectives:
Short-term objective: Creation of a Collective of Initiative for the realization of IMCIM according to its medium and long-term objectives.
I. Identified issues:
The deterioration of the "patient-provider" relationship, the overuse of technology and the inability of the medical system to adequately treat chronic diseases have contributed to increasing patient interest in Integrative Medicine. Integrative medicine is healing-oriented and emphasizes a focus on the doctor-patient relationship. Integrative Medicine focuses on the least invasive, least toxic and least expensive methods to help facilitate health by integrating both allopathic and complementary therapies. These therapies are recommended based on an understanding of the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual aspects of the individual; The differences in approach of integrative medicine versus allopathic medicine can be read at: The Pecularities of convențional medicine and integrative medicine;
Integrative Medicine essentially subsumes the assumptions of all four paradigms of current medicine: (1) bodily paradigm; (2) the mind-body paradigm; (3) the body-energy paradigm, and (4) the body-spirit paradigm;
There is not, nor is it possible to be, any Integrative Medicine Clinic in the world that encompasses all the activities from The Pie Chart of Integrative Medicine;
They are Integrative Medicine clinics with great results, but their areas of concern are narrow. See links: https://www.spezialklinik-neukirchen.de/ ; https://miu-clinic.org/;
There are not enough specialists and there is no regional or national coverage for areas beyond allopathic medicine;
The field of Integrative Medicine is little known by practitioners of allopathic medicine, nor do they trust the alternative methods used by Integrative Medicine;
The Patients are not informed about the benefits of Integrative Medicine and mostly reject the services offered by it.
